The University of Economics and Management was pleased to host ACBSP Region 8 Fall Conference 2019 (from 14th - 17th of November 2019).

University of Economics and Management is a member of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) since 2009 and accredited since 2010.
Regional conferences provide members and participants by insight into excellence in Higher education, mastering accreditation standards and possibility to share knowledge, explore contacts and networking.

Keynote speakers

Keynote speakers were the leading Czech experts on future Higher Education and trends, technologies and modern teaching-learning techniques.

Susanna Bäckman

Specialist in the research and development of new models for pedagogy and educautional working and leading practices and regularly works with both directors and teachers in these areas. Her innovations have been successfully adopted by the Finnish national education sector and form the basis for their current operations. She has been recently appointed to the Board of Trustees in the International School of Prague.

Assoc. Prof. Anna Kaderabkova, Ph.D.

Head researcher of the Centre for Innovation Studies, University of Economics and Management, Prague, Czech Republic. She has been a leading expert in the field of social innovations in the region of Central Europe for about 7 years. Currently, she has been leading a multisectoral project of nation-wide data platform (SIMPAKT) creating and applying methodology for measuring and evaluating impact (and consequently innovativeness) of organizations tackling societal challenges, such as homelessness, unemployment, social/educational exclusion and immobility, income poverty. More specifically, SIMPAKT deals with the problem of measurability of qualitatively complex characteristics to be used for supporting evidence-based policy and decision-making.

Mgr. Bohumil Kartous, Ph.D.

Head of Communications and Analyst of EDUin, publisher and journalist in education in Czech media, commentator on events in education in the Czech Republic and internationally, teacher and mentor at the University of Economics and Management and cooperator at Start up Education Republic.

Gustav Mistrík

Mgr. Jaroslav Pašmik, MBA

Leader in sustainable education and Head of the Centre of Sustainability Management, researcher in micro and small businesses. Involved in Sustainability Fashion Day, identifying sustainability indicators, cooperates with Leuphana University in Lüneburg and University of Economics in Prague on the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability barometer for the Czech Republic.

Jan Veselý

Scout/Coordinator at Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer, head of the Innovation Laboratory, and teacher at Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. Founder of the non-profit institution EduFórum, the network of people for innovation in education. Creator of several acceleration programs focused on social innovations, e.g. Vodafone Czech Republic Foundations.
